The MTO Shahmaghsoudi® Hillsborough Center students have been extremely active in engaging with various non-profit organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs, Peninsula Family Service, homeless shelters, hospitals, and afterschool programs. Each month, we make generous donations of care packages filled with essential items that these organizations require to support their clients in need.

Through our MTO Sustainability program, we have been working tirelessly every month, collaborating with San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties Parks and Recreation Departments to ensure that County and City parks remain clean and well-maintained for everyone’s enjoyment. Additionally, we have teamed up with Trex.com to recycle plastics that would otherwise end up in landfills, and convert them into high-quality benches and flooring materials.

Our efforts extend even further, as three times a month, we gather surplus food from various sources such as restaurants, bakeries, and farmer’s markets through the Peninsula Food Runners program. We then distribute this food to homeless shelters, elderly or low-income housing, and after-school programs, ensuring that these valuable resources do not waste in landfills but reach those who need them most.
