The photography exhibition “Seen and Unseen: Sufi Life in Frankfurt,” curated by Negah Angha, has been open to the public at the Römerhalle in Frankfurt since October 16, 2026.
Running until October 22, 2026, the exhibition invites visitors to explore Sufi life in contemporary Germany. Presented by MTO Sufi Verband e.V., the exhibition is free of charge.
The exhibition explores Sufi life as lived practice in contemporary Germany, with a focus on the MTO Shahmaghsoudi community in Frankfurt. Through photographs by Negah Angha, Aram Norouzi, and Mehdi Varvani, the exhibition traces ritual, service, hospitality, listening, and everyday forms of community life.
The project forms part of a wider program of public engagement and dialogue developed with the support of public and academic partners. Alongside the exhibition and accompanying catalogue, related initiatives include Sufi Dialogues, interfaith encounters, and conversations on Muslim life, spirituality, and civic belonging in contemporary Germany.
