Live Lecture on Sufism: Sundays, 8:30 am - 10:00 am
MTO Orange County volunteers have participated in several charitable events from the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, such as regularly donating groceries to families in Santa Ana communities and the elderly and veteran communities in Orange County.  Our volunteers have also hand-made and donated several thousand PPEs to local hospitals and medical offices during the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic. We have also participated in several beach and trail clean-ups as part of MTO’s sustainability initiative.  Our volunteers have also participated in many interfaith events and have been asked to speak about our school and its teachings at many events.
As a result of MTO Orange County’s extensive charitable activities, on October 7, 2020, MTO was recognized by Congressman Lou Correa on the floor of the United States House of Representatives.  On this day MTO received The Congressional Record from the House of Representatives honoring  MTO Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism and recognizing that under Professor Nader Angha’s tutelage, the school has expanded across six continents with over 1 million students and has published numerous scientific, spiritual, and educational books surrounding the topic of Sufism. MTO Orange County was also issued seven (7) additional proclamations and certificates of acknowledgments by Congresswoman Katie Porter, Congressman Lou Correa, and Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan for MTO’s support of families and health care providers in time of need during the Covid-19 pandemic.
