On February 2, 2017, the members of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Vancouver Center hosted an Open House with the intent of showcasing the newly renovated Center. Invitations were extended to contractors involved in the renovation process, and neighbors who patiently observed during this period. The program included introductions to M.T.O. History, Hazrat Pir’s Biography, M.T.O. Farsi School, M.T.O. Youth Group activities—including a musical performance by the Youth, presentations on Sufism: A Bridge Between Religions, and zikr. In order to share an aspect of what is practiced at M.T.O., the program was closed with an invitation to the 100 guests in attendance to take part in zikr. After the program, the presenters and guests gathered in the lower hall of the building where they enjoyed snacks, beverages, and had a chance to engage in conversation. The neighbors expressed their gratitude for having been invited and given the chance to see the outcome of the construction, and the contractors, along with their families, were delighted with the outcome of their contributions.
