On November 20, 2019, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® was invited to participate in the 11th Annual Point Interfaith Thanksgiving Service titled: “Neighbors Standing Together in Gratitude.” This event took place at the San Rafael Catholic Church in San Diego, CA. The program included brief presentations on the topic of gratitude and strengthening the spirit of unity and solidarity as unified community of diverse faiths. Presentations were given by members of different faith groups, including Sikhism, Catholicism, Protestant Christianity, Judaism, Islamic Sufism and several other religious groups present. Each speaker's presentation ended with reading a short prayer of gratitude from that religion. During M.T.O.'s presentation, references were made from the book "Sufism, the Reality of Religion" by the Sufi Master, Hazrat Salaheddin Ali Nader Angha, and the true meaning of Islam, based on the teachings of Sufism, was elaborated. A quotation and prayer from the book "Message from the Soul" by Hazrat Shah Maghsoud Sadegh Angha was read, which was simultaneously rehearsed by everyone in the audience. Beautiful choir singing and instrumental musical pieces were also performed in between the speeches.
