On May 2, 2019, M.T.O. Sufi Association® was invited to attend the Annual Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast on the National Day of Prayer. Mayor of Encinitas, council men and women, religious leaders and ministers of different faiths, and many key members of interfaith organizations, such as the San Digituiot Interfaith Ministries, where among the attendees of the event. The program began with a peace-invoking prayer and an invitation for a heartfelt presence, rather than a mindful one, during the event. All speakers, whether from political background or of different faith group’s, carried the same message throughout their talks. Everyone spoke of unity and oneness of existence and in return oneness of mankind. Awakening and turning to Love and unity was repeated time after time during this program. As part of the program, the students of the Grauer School said a prayer of peace and unity in 7 different languages of the world, and musicians and artists performed music inspired by the hope of unity of mankind. M.T.O. Sufi Association was warmly welcomed by political figures and faith group leaders, and many discussions took place for further opportunities of joint efforts towards interfaith dialogue and increased unity and connectedness within the community.
