On November 19th, 2016 the M.T.O. Sufi Association® participated in the 6th Annual Student Multi-Faith Leadership Conference, which was held this year at California Lutheran University. Students and faculty from local universities participated in this interactive conference. The morning sessions consisted of group-work and sharing of values, opinions, and beliefs on various topics including: Identity, the difference between faith and religion, science and faith, the recent election, Middle East and Refuge Crisis, and different approaches to dealing with closed-minded people. One of the afternoon breakout sessions was: "Theory I: The Inner Dimension of Leadership - Principles From Islamic Sufism." The session was 45 minutes and consisted of an introduction to the M.T.O. Sufi Association® and M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism®, a brief introduction to Islamic Sufism, a presentation on teachings from the book Theory 'I', and a demonstration of Tamarkoz® that attendees participated in. We received great feedback from the session and plan to continue our multi-faith efforts with Cal Lutheran and other universities.
