On January 30th, 2016, the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Dallas Center hosted an event in honor of the hundredth birthday of the great Sufi Master, Molana Al-Moazam Hazrat Shah Maghsoud Sadegh Angha. The event, titled "The Light of Love, the 100th Anniversary of the Life and Teachings of a Renowned Islamic Sufi Master", shared a small glimpse of the fascinating life and teachings of the great master who made Sufism accessible to all true seekers of truth around the world and whose name adorns the Oveyssi School of Sufism®. Among the more than seventy guests who attended the program were high-ranking members of the local police and fire departments, school district management, the president of the neighborhood association, university professors and distinguished healthcare professionals. The program included an introduction to religion and Islamic Sufism, the significance of the Teacher, a brief account of the life and contributions of His Holiness, a history of the school, and some key Sufi practices. The guests were also treated to guided tours of several exhibits which displayed some of the one hundred fifty (150) of His Holiness' works of prose and poetry.
